What is Consumer-Directed Personal Care?
Consumer-Directed Care is available to individuals who need attendant care services in their home. Self-Directed care puts you in control, allowing you to arrange and direct your own services.

You select, train and manage your caregiver who may be a trusted friend, neighbor or relative. Individuals must be capable of directing their own services or arranging for a representative to act on their behalf.

Caregiver (DSP) Appreciation

Last month, we ran our Caregiver Appreciation program in coordination with Direct Support Professionals Week, September 11-17. We recognized 3,583 direct support professionals in eight states for their outstanding service to assist people in their homes to maintain independence. The feedback we received before and during the week was awesome.

Long-Term Services & Supports: A Gathering of Tribal Leaders

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) work collaboratively with American Indian and Alaska Native leaders to provide long-term services and supports (LTSS) for elders and people with disabilities. With feedback from tribal leaders, programs and services are better designed to meet the needs of local populations, while supporting the beliefs and culture of Indian Country.
